New Sage Software Whitepaper: Top 5 Security Concerns for Business

Ever mindful of hardware and software security threats to companies stemming from advances in technology and new mobile devices, Sage Software recently published an insightful, one-page Whitepaper, in order to raise awareness about the top five security concerns to which all business should pay attention, and to provide solutions to address and preempt potential security breaches.

According to the annual report, cited by Sage Software and issued by the premier global source of information security training and certification - the Bethesda, Maryland-based SANS Institute - due to the rapid evolution, increasing affordability, and proliferation of cutting-edge devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and netbooks, a growing number of companies have opted to utilize such gadgets to increase efficiency and productivity. A company's adoption and management of such devices, however, raises valid concerns with respect to the maintenance of a secure internal network infrastructure.

According to the Whitepaper, the top security concerns for companies stem from:

·        The inability to control authorized and unauthorized devices.
·        - The inability to maintain authorized and unauthorized software.
·       Insecure configurations for hardware and software on mobile devices, laptops, and servers.
·        - Code or configuration vulnerabilities.
·        - Malware breaches.
